Howard T. Trafman

Howard joined Lindsay, Pickett & Postel as a Partner in June 2021.  He serves as Lead of the firm’s Insurance Defense Department. His practice focuses primarily on complex insurance defense litigation with a heavy emphasis on construction liability and premises liability defense. Prior to joining the firm, Howard was an Attorney of Record and Senior Trial Counsel at a national insurance company where he worked for more than 25 years. Throughout his tenure at the national insurance company, Howard defended lawsuits including, but not limited to, wrongful death, trucking and automobile, premises liability, product liability, construction site accident liability, sexual misconduct, malpractice, UM/UIM, and Illinois Department of Insurance matters.  In his role as Attorney of Record, Howard also performed training and management functions. Howard has very successfully defended several high exposure personal liability and commercial liability lawsuits and has tried numerous cases to verdict over the last 26 years.

Howard is licensed to practice in the State of Illinois, State of Arizona, and the Northern District of Illinois.  Howard is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, Arizona State Bar Association, and Federal Trial Bar.
